Meet BoostIn, your salary score.
How It Works
BoostIn is the only product that provides information about your potential salary using more than one education variable. This allows you to:
1. Compare colleges and degrees to determine the combination that provides you with the probability of the highest salary
2. See your average estimated starting and mid-career salaries
3. Better predict your estimated future salary
BoostIn's Salary Score and average estimated salaries are made up of series of algorithms that analyze data to produce an easy to consume set of numbers that help you answer some of life's biggest questions:
1. What college and degree combination will give you the chance of the highest salary?
2. How can you increase your chances of making more money?

BoostIn's Salary Score and average estimated salaries are made up of series of algorithms that analyze data to produce an easy to consume set of numbers that help you answer some of life's biggest questions:
1. What college and degree combination will give you the chance of the highest salary?
2. How can you increase your chances of making more money?
Here are some ways BoostIn uses algorithms to calculate useful information for you:
Analyzing the College
The college you attend can have a big impact on your future estimated salary. BoostIn has built a model to determine the salary level for each university. When you choose a college, BoostIn conducts a search to match on that college. Then an algorithm is ran to determine the salary level for that college. This is converted and displayed as the College Salary Score when you get your results.
Analyzing the Degree
The degree you get can also have a big impact on your future estimated salary. BoostIn has built a model to determine the salary level for each degree. When you choose a degree, BoostIn conducts a search to match on that degree. Then an algorithm is ran to determine the salary level for that degree. This is converted and displayed as the Degree Salary Score when you get your results.
Calculating the Salary Score
Typical college and degree rankings can have millions of different options that make them complicated to compare. BoostIn's model uses many different variables to calculate one Salary Score. As an example, the college and degree have an impact to the overall calculated Salary Score. BoostIn's Salary Score algorithm analyzes the college and degree (along with other variables) to determine an overall level. The level is then normalized and converted to a single, easy to read number called a Salary Score. The Salary Score gives you a quantifiable number that makes it easier to compare different colleges and/or degree options. The higher the Salary Score, the greater the probability of earning a higher salary.
Calculating the Estimated Salaries
Information such as country, location, college, degree, demand for a skill, etc. can have a major impact on the overall average salaries of each individual. BoostIn focuses solely on the average salaries for each individual and not the reason for the salaries. The salaries are normalized to provide a workable range of inputs that stabilize the weight and remove the biases. The combination of the variables above are used in the algorithm to calculate both the Estimated Starting Salary and the Estimated Mid Career Salary.
Changes in the Results
BoostIn continuously evaluates new data to determine the validity and impact to the current scores and estimated salaries. BoostIn strives to provide easy-to-understand data to help users make an informed decision. As the data evolves, BoostIn evolves the Salary Scores and Estimated Salaries to deliver better results.
